Time for a (normal size) update
HEEEELLLLLOOOOOO!!!
ahoy there me harties! (don't ask why I have resorted to Pirate Mode. I don't know myself). I am (like most of the times I write emails and stuff) in the school library, on Friday afternoon. I'll give you a short rundown of the last week.
Thursday (okay, more than a week, but still interesting): I wrote my first German exam! Go Team FES! It was specially written for us exchange people. It had some stuff with grammer (conjagation, conjunctions, pural and singular forms of verbs, declation of substantives and so on) then a text we had to read (and understand) and write a summary of, then write a short text about the differences between our home school and school here. Then us foreign exchangers had an interview (!) with the Memmingen newspaper (complete with tacky picture of us pointing to our home-countries on a map). Should be expecting that one day soon...
Friday: ummm, can't really remember (therefore, nothing really important happened). No, wait! I slept over a friend's house. That was cool: she cut my hair and dyed it dark. I like it : ) ... surprise.
Saturday and Sunday: normal, lazy (ahem, relaxing) weekend. Wrote first German assignment about Australia.
Monday: Presented said German assignment about Australia. Went quite well. I made jokes (usually cos I stuffed up, but still counts)
Tuesday: I went over to a friend's house for lunch. We watched Birdget Jones in German. Not quite the same. Had an English movie evening with my english class. Watched 'Runaway Jury' -- quite good. Ate these really yummy chocolate chip things.
Wednesday: A friend (these 'friends' have all been different people, I might add) had her 19th Birthday. Par-tay next week.
Thursday: Got my German test back -- got the best mark (even though it was only me and two other people, I think it'S an achievement con“sidering I only attended the previous 3 lessons and haven't been here 10 months, unlike the other girls.) I spent the afternoon with Sachiko and we watched the Last Samuri and Kill Bill Vol 1 in German. Both of which I have to see again in English.
Friday (today): Got my English exam back -- 15!! (The highest, and like, impossible!) And it was about Shakespeare! Actually probably why I went so well...
And now a little look into the future:
Friday (continuing): Franzi (the girl who had the birthday) is sleeping over. cool.
Saturday: THE LATEST HARRY POTTER IS OUT!!!!!! wahoo. should be able to read it in the comming weeks. also doing a guided tour of Memmingen with a group of French exchange people who are then coming for a good old German lunch. Should be interesting...
Sunday: Going to Munich with friends to a Japanese Festival and then to a exchange organisation's get-together hoe-down thingy-mabob.
And theeeen, only 2 weeks left of school!! Huzzah. But already the exams are finished and it is futile of the teachers to attempt teaching us braindead youth, so we get to watch movies, lots of movies. Or, in the case of my english class, go and learn how to plan baseball. (Why not??)
It's all happening. I also sent off about a bizzilion letters (ok, 5 postcards and 1 letter) and I will try to call you, Alex, tomorrow or sometime. Thanks for the call, anyway.
Love you all.
